showip - show public IP address
showip
showip shows
the current public IP address. It can be the IP address of the network card
but in many cases i.e. dynamic addresses or internet router it is a often
unknown IP address.
showip gets the public IP address by querying the showip-service of http://showip.tuxad.de.
